Summer I 2008 Orientation
Summer II 2008 Orientation
All new undergraduate students are required to attend an orientation session before enrolling in classes. A small number of academic programs and organizations, such as the Nursing Department or the Caribbean Students's Organization, host their own "orientation" programs. These "orientation" programs are under no circumstances a substitute for new student orientation so be sure to attend the approprate event below on your assigned day. Thank you.

What is Orientation and why do I have to attend?
Orientation is the time when entering undergraduates visit Midwestern State University and learn all about programs, services and opportunities available. Students meet with their faculty advisor and register for their upcoming classes and enjoy interacting with fellow peers and student leaders. After attending orientation, students are well-prepared to enter college life and coursework at Midwestern State University. Parents and family are welcome to attend orientation events.

Transfer Students
You may print out a copy of your Transfer Equivalency to bring with you to orienation by accessing the WebWorld information system. This will greatly help your new academic advisor with respect to course scheduling and tranfer credit received and will help expedite the orientation and registration process. If you cannot access WebWorld, please try to bring a copy of your college transcripts. Thank you.
I. Summer I 2008 Orientation
Day Orientation
Students entering Midwestern State University beginning Summer I 2008 are required to attend new student orientation in correspondence with the summer schedule of classes. In order to register for classes, students must attend on the assigned day.

| TIME: |
Orientation: 9:00 a.m. ‑ 12:00 p.m. (check-in at 8:30 a.m.)
Advisement/Registration: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. |
Night Orientation (only for evening students)
If students will be enrolled in evening courses or are unable to attend during the day, students may attend night orientation and then register for classes from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

II. Summer II 2008 Orientation
Day Orientation
Students entering Midwestern State University beginning Summer II 2008 are required to attend orientation in correspondence with the summer schedule of classes. In order to register for classes, students must attend on the assigned day.

Orientation: 9:00 a.m. ‑ 10:30 p.m. (check-in at 8:30 a.m.)
Advisement/Registration: 10:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. |
IMPORTANT: If you have a TSI status of "not taken" or "partially exempt" you will not be allowed to attend orientation or register for classes until we have TSI test scores or proof of a full TSI exemption. Therefore, students must schedule a TSI test (Accuplacer, Asset, Compass, or THEA – only Accuplacer & THEA given at MSU) as soon as possible (or provide proof of exemption). Once you have been accepted for admission, you must RSVP for your orientation session.
You will see an advisor and register during your orientation day!
