Riders & Scholarships

Midwestern State University affords the opportunity for promising cyclists to pursue a college education while they train and race by offering scholarships to U.S. and foreign students attending Midwestern State University.  Additional support with housing, travel, and racing expenses is also a great benefit for members of the MSU Cycling Team.

The support of the Hotter ‘N Hell Hundred – the largest organized century ride in the United States – plays a key role in the MSU scholarship program.

Midwestern State also recently made several changes that make it much more affordable for U.S. citizens who live outside of Texas to attend the school at a much-lower tuition rate than in the past. For more information, please check this Web site.

This reducted out-of-state tuition is an additional benefit beyond the scholarships that have traditionally -- and continue to be -- awarded.

Further, many "competitive waivers" are awarded to International and out-of-state students that receive $1,000 or more in annual scholarship awards (this includes the cycling scholarship, academic scholarships, and a combination of any type of scholarship offered at MSU).
