Alpha Kappa Alpha - Midwestern State University

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the first Greek-letter organization established by black collegiate women in America, was founded by sixteen strong women on January 15th, 1908 on the campus of Howard University. The most distinguished women who began this legacy sought to establish an organization that was dedicated to the upliftment of their community, as well as to the grand ideals of service, scholarship and sisterhood.
