Hello and welcome to the new student orientation information page!
Currently included on this page is information and dates pertaining to:
Summer I & II 2013 New Student Orientation (RSVP today for Summer I!)
All new undergraduate students are required to attend an orientation session before enrolling in classes. A small number of academic programs and organizations, such as the Nursing Department or the Caribbean Students Organization, host their own "orientation" programs. These "orientation" programs are under no circumstances a substitute for new student orientation so be sure to attend the appropriate event below on your assigned day. Thank you.
(Please note: Distance learning students who do not live locally and will solely be taking distance education courses only should click here to go to the Distance Learning Orientation website.)
What is Orientation and why do I have to attend?
Orientation is the time when entering undergraduates visit Midwestern State University and learn all about programs, services and opportunities available. Students meet with their faculty advisor and register for their upcoming classes and enjoy interacting with fellow peers and student leaders. After attending orientation, students are well-prepared to enter college life and coursework at Midwestern State University. Parents and family are welcome to attend orientation events.

If you cannot access WebWorld prior to attending your orientation session, please bring a copy of your college transcript(s). Thank you.
Verification of Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination
Effective January 1, 2012, the Texas legislature requires all students under the age of 30 who are entering an institution of higher education in Texas to either receive a vaccination against bacterial meningitis or meet certain criteria to decline the vaccination prior the first day of classes.
