Panhellenic is the governing body over the National Panhellenic Council sororities at Midwestern State University. They include: Alpha Phi, Chi Omega, Gamma Phi Beta, and Sigma Kappa.
To join, students participate in Fall Formal Recruitment. Participating in recruitment provides an excellent opportunity to meet people and learn more about the Greek community but in no way requires you to join a chapter.
Formal Recruitment takes place over several days and is a mutual selection process. During the course of recruitment, potential new members meet chapter representatives from all of the Panhellenic organizations. Additionally, potential new members are able to learn about each organization, participate in activities with the chapter and tour chapter suites. The week culminates with Bid Day, which is the day that the women will receive their official invitation to join one of the four NPC sororities.
